As a KAS aspirants why u r wasting precious times, if necessary information is there please update the same but don't update un necessary information the result or eligible list may come within this week by 10th of June and cut off also come near 200 for GM, think practically and not assessment bcz paper was very tuff and the candidates scoring also within 170 to 270 only, don't misguide the ppl.

dont' worry guy's god is there those who have got 160 above category candidates be happy, this time cut off is very less due to no of post and tuff paper, only 2400 candts have scored more than 200 hence category may come up to 160 to 200 cut off but kpsc will not release cut off % now just they will release eligibility list only as per supreme guidelines 2008 kpsc will considered cut off on the based category wise system, if r opted in gm k then they will considered first gm k only then will considered for pure gm, it means if sc gen category got 238 marks he will comes to only sc category not gm fyi ................ all the best my friends some suma,veena, vismaya told cut off will come 250 gen absolutely blunder............ any how once again all the best these suma, veena, vismaya candidates.

As per Information from KPSC Staff of KAS Exam section, whom I met today in KPSC office.
The result of KAS Prelims Will be Within 10th June.
They told, it may be today, or tomorrow but within 10th sure.
I asked about when is Main Exam, they informed
It may be End of August or Middle of September and also they told, when many KAS candidates request with letter to KPSC Secretary or met personally request for postponement of Mains Exam, it will held on October or November based on more no. of KAS candidates request
One Shocking and Unhappy news is KPSC people was not received More Objections, regarding Many wrong Key answers.
So The revised key answers is Very less (only 6).
We people made a mistake .

Another Imp thing I asked KPSC Staff What is Cutoff , They told It is confidential it is confidential , it is not known to any KPSC staff other than the rank of assistant secretary.
So I asked somebody is telling 2400 peoples scored 200 marks above, and somebody is telling cutoff is less than 200. they are angry about this and informed to me it is Coaching center Students Rumors don't believe it. Wait just 3 more days you will get the reality wheter they are true or rumors.
Friends The cutoff marks above provided by some of this blog friends is Just their own happy imagination marks, even KPSC staff don't know the cutoff how the candidates know.
So don't believe any cutoff untill result is announced by KPSC.

ONCE If you Selected for MAIN'S after result of prelims.
We will meet and request the KPSC Secretary for Postponement of Mains Exam in the month of November.
Because this time No Optional subject in prelims , we are fully dedicated only for GS papers.
So definitely they will consider our request and postpone the Mains exam for November.

This is my request just we have only 2 months timings for mains exam and just imagine....?
1. We have wrote the degree exam for 100 marks in 3 hrs and what abt our marks?
Ans.. only 50 to 60 marks
2. KPSC mains exam for 300 marks in 3 hrs what abt our caliber?
Ans: do hard work minimum 8 to 9 hrs reading with writing also.
3. What about our Kannada / English eligible exam ?
Ans: if you passed kannada / english exam then only they evaluate optional subject other wise again u get back to ur house pls all kannada medium candidates concentrate for this.
4. How we can manage our times for study - 1800 marks, general paper-600, optional 1/2 - 1200 marks, kanndad, english?
Ans: Prepare ur self time scheduled / materials / subject wise reading & writing speed management is important, practice ur ownself 3hrs exam.
5. Finaly what about our mains result?
Ans: if we passed kannada/english kpsc will evaluate the optional subject, if we get 1100 marks before interview u will be safe other wise get ready for 20 to 25 laks in brief case.
6. Why i am telling all those things?
Ans: Myself i wrote 3 times mains exam & faced interview but i am not selected but why? bcz of Less marks & Financial / Reference.
7. Dont' take much desire abt this?
Ans: if u do hard work everything s follows u......
Since April 22nd i observed all comments and finaly i am give my inputs to all...
this time i was not applied prelims exam-2011.

In KPSC site, under ELIGIBILITY LIST, the prelims results are not there. But the URL posted in the blog contains the eligible list. How is this possible??????

there is no provision for reservation in creamy layer if your income or your dependents income is above 3.5 lakh there are many instances where people have been prosecuted when they are in the creamy layer and have claimed reservation.

Please refer to section 8 in the doc by DoPT. It mentions that non-creamy layer status is determined through parents income and not from self or spouse.
So if a IAS officer's wife wants to claim reservation than she can do so provided her parents income and status are within the pervierw of non-creamy layer status.
But still I do not understand why state government has not amended the certificate they issue. This may be a technical error.

u can join any coaching institutes, it hardly matters. coaching is only for those who dont know the full form of KAS or IAS. I am not against any1 who joins coaching or is planning to do so. I myself did my coaching in delhi for 2 optionals ( PA and Geo) and I feel i wasted a lot of money. these institutes just give an orientation toward the exam and nothing more than that. wat u really need for cracking the exam is guidance regarding which books to study and which to avoid. in blore u can try some known names like UCC, JSS, himalai, SChitra etc. Many people try to get into the civil service for all the other reasons except to do genuine public service. If the service of the poor is motivating u to take up this exam then automatically u will get the ways and methods to study for the exam. all the best.

there are no special books written in english for public admin books.. u need to study for IAS and then write KAS.. trust me, if u do that way, u will top this KAS exam.

hi .. i have completed my BBM at BU.. i m taking coachin for KAS and tryin to clear at 1st attempt 1ly... but my parents are tellin to do MBA (ful tym).. i m totally confused...is it possible to do both and in which month every year KPSC gives noticipicatios? plz suggest me

i rushed to the kpsc office and while enquiring there, they said they didnt care the least. the only thing they are concerned with is the mains application form and nothing else. if thats alright everything will be fine.
kpsc doest give notif every year like UPSC.. as they have given it in 2012 the nxt notif tentatively will be in 2014 following the past traditions... so if u are only preparing for kpsc then stretch it to upsc as i am sure nxt year kpsc wont call for KAS.

I also went there and asked the same.. They said they are not going to give it back once submitted .. They assured it would be fine in normal case ..

Called up to check on the yet not received acknowledgement... They say many applications are still being scrutinised. Is there any one else who has not received the acknowledgement?Am a little concerned here.
Also they said they would finalise on the mains hall ticket by the following week.. Exams are fixed for 25 Aug; its definite not tentative

bro tell u wat, ur brain wil be roasted by the time u complete studying that book.. they have mindlessly copy pasted the contents of every possible NCERTs inside it. the current affairs section of the book is a piece of crap and nothing will be asked out of it either in mains or pre. It will be very tough remember to all those facts in it. even i tried doing it some 2 yrs back but failed. better join some coaching class and u will get some idea on how to study and wat to study. good luck.

thats the only reason y ur ack might be delayed. I received mine on 26th last month itself.
I too have not received my acknowledgement letter. Anxious enough have called the KPSC office twice so far. They say that by the end of this week they would be processing all applications so we would have to wait until Saturday...

Concern is the word here because if there is any flaw in the application/support documents then we would know only thru the ack!
yeah i agree.. but most probably u will get the hall ticket. they wont disqualify some1 just like that who has cleared an eligibility test to appear in the mains.
and this is how it happened to my cousin.
he was selected for the interview and they asked 1 crore for Asst comm, now obviously my brother didnt have. So the guy who had telephoned fixed an appointment with some guy and that fellow agreed to pay 1crore on the condition if my brother marries his daughter!! so the vows were exchanged and now my brother is an Asst comm. He completed his training and got his posting just recently.
so this is the whole game plan - if u have money pay up and get the post else marry the girl whom they show u and get appointed!!
and i am disappointed to inform you that they wont offer any post for no money :(

U have mentioned, how can girls get AC post? dear friend, it was precisely this reason why the govt introduced 50% quota for women, and getting the kpsc hand tied in giving away the posts in order of merit for the girls atleast.. U probably wouldnt have heard about all this because no AC will tell you that i paid a bribe and became one. Please think before u comment. I am not commenting here to scare someone off, i wouldnt be profiting a bit by it. Truth hurts, but that is its quality. I sincerely pray that you become an Assistant Comm purely by merit.

Dear Friends...Till recently even I used to have this notion that we need to pay exorbitant sums of money to get a Govt job but not any more...Take my story itself...I got selected as PDO (Group C)in 2009 without paying a single penny, left the job and now I have recently got selected as Agriculture Officer (Group B) and have not paid a single rupee to anybody...Like this I can safely say none of the 363 candidates who got selected for AO and AAO (both Group B) have paid a single rupee to get their job...More over my cousin sister got through Gazetted Probationers 2010 exam last year and shes got Chief Officer (Group B) post and even she hasnt paid a single penny..Same is the case with her friend who has got selected as Asst Commissioner Com Tax...According to her there is no need to pay a single penny for those who cross 950-1000 mark in mains exam...So come on guys lets work hard and leave the rest to the God...

Had gone to KPSC office to check on the acknowledgement, pathetic response...All they said was they could not help. It would be a CTRL+F on some excel sheet for sure but they were not ready to it... just for the sake of not doing!
Triggered me to wonder if I will loose my enterprising nature by joining such a laid back organisation!
Guess the others will be pretty much the same.There is no service mindedness. If these are the kind of people hired and trained after such rigorous exams and interviews then God save the Govt. no use blaming politicians when administrators are such. The work culture is sad.
I might be sounding a disgruntled soul but that's the consequence of a superficial encounter in a Govt office.

but unfortunately wat u said is true. last time when i went to kpsc office to check if everything was right with my mains app, i got the same response from those lazy heads called section officers or watever they are called. I simply barged into one of the Asst secretaries' cabin and to my pleasant surprise, the chap was friendly and responded to my grievance giving me a patient hearing!! May be u shud have done the same too..
anyways cheer up.. probably when we get into the system let us try to teach those guys learn some work culture.
I did meet the said Asst Secretary who was better as you say but no response. The minced words indicate we do not do anything extra especially for an individual.
Good experience- any which ways life should go on......
hello ppl im back again as i had told u ppl and kept informing about the source of information abu the results and every time it was correct, this time i have a news for u all who r preparing for kas mains, more than 1200 students application is with held because this ppl who r in final year of thier graduation have not submitted there marks sheet, so most probably there is too much of chances the exam gettin postponed for nearly 20 to 25 days... enojoy all study well:)
The exam section officer said they would post a list of candidates whose applications have flaws in the first week of Aug. No news of exams post ponement though.
i dont think they can postpone the exam... coz if they do then it will clash with upsc mains exam dates... so 25th aug is fixed
Just in case there is an issue with the documents/proofs submitted, do they get it clarified before exams or make us do the hard work and say rejected!
so those whose applications have faults wil thy b allowed to submit those certificates again within a given time??
